SUMMER CONSERVATION
At American Water, conservation is more than a seasonal concern – it’s an everyday commitment. As summer temperatures rise and watering demands increase, adopting wise water habits is especially important. Many aren’t aware when they are wasting water – unintentionally watering their yards at peak evaporation hours or using more water than necessary to keep their lawns healthy. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that 50% of outdoor water use is wasted.
Conservation is a shared responsibility and using water wisely helps ensure safe, clean, reliable and affordable water for you and future generations. Small changes in how we use water can add up to big savings, both for your water bill and for the environment. From adjusting your watering schedule to fixing household leaks, every drop counts.
