Boil Water Order Lifted

(Godrey, Ill. September 20, 2023) –Illinois American Water has lifted the boil water order today for water customers in the following areas:

  • Godfrey
  • Grafton
  • Elsah
  • Chautauqua
  • Jersey County Rural Water Company (sale for resale)

The boil water order was issued Tuesday, September 19. It was necessary due to a loss in water pressure during an important maintenance procedure in the water distribution system. Customers received a phone call from Illinois American Water Wednesday after tests confirmed water met all regulated quality standards.
