Boil Water Order Lifted in Jerseyville

Jerseyville, Ill. (Sept. 26, 2024) — Illinois American Water lifted the systemwide boil water order for its water customers in the Jerseyville District operations Thursday morning. The boil water order was issued late Tuesday night following a water main break on a transmission line that caused water pressure to decrease below 20 pounds per square inch in portions of the Jerseyville water system. The transmission line was repaired just after midnight, Wednesday.

Impacted customers in Jerseyville are receiving a phone call from Illinois American Water to inform them the boil water order has been lifted and tests confirmed the water meets all regulated quality standards.
