Illinois American Water Lifts Boil Water Order in Mt. Pulaski

Customers no longer need to boil water before using for consumption.

Mt. Pulaski, Ill. – (March 9, 2023) – Illinois American Water has lifted the boil water order issued to the Mt. Pulaski service area on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Customers can resume normal water usage.

During the boil water order, a series of water quality tests were performed to confirm drinking water meets regulatory drinking water standards. Samples were taken from sites in the affected area and tests confirmed the water meets all state and federal requirements. It is no longer necessary for customers to boil their water before drinking or cooking.

Customers are being notified about the boil water order lift via media outreach, customer notification via calls and/or email based on customer account preferences and Illinois American Water website alerts at www.illinoisamwater.com.  Information is also provided to our customer service center representatives. Landlords are required to keep tenants informed.
